Scotch: A Golden Dream

Scotch whisky, or 'water of life' has been enjoyed in more than 200 countries throughout the world, generating over $6 billion in exports each year. Scotch: A Golden Dream explores the many distilleries of Scotland, and the people that run them.

Shot entirely in Scotland over the course of a month, filming took place throughout the country and on the island of Islay. Interviews included master distillers, famed whiskey writers, and the Duke of Argyll.

Sound considerations included everything from city traffic and noise, to the ocean, cows and sheep, hum and mechanical whirring from distilleries, wind, and rain.

Recorded on a Sound Device 633 mixer with integrated recorder,

two Sennheiser EW 100 G3 Wireless Lavs, and Sennheiser 416 Shotgun Mic.
